    Casual Staff Expression of Interest

    The Taste of Summer are seeking dedicated, driven individuals to join the team of casual staff to help deliver one of Tasmania's most iconic events. If you are interested in being a part of the team, complete this form.
  •  The Taste of Summer team is made up of many different roles, including;

    Site Crew - This team is responsible for building, installing and erecting the site. Experience with hand tools, carpentry and plant operation (Forklift, Scissor Lift etc) is desirable but not essential.

    Help Desk - This team manages the flow of operational information and acts as a central communication point for all festival operations with a focus on stallholder support. Strong administrative skills are key and experience working in operational or event environments is highly desirable.

    Bars - This team works within the Taste of Summer bars, serving drinks, operating a point of sale and providing customer service. An RSA is essential and customer service/hospitality experience is desirable.

    Front of House - This team acts as the first point of contact for Taste of Summer patrons and the general public and assists with queueing, ticket scanning and wayfinding. Customer service experience and an interest in communicating with the general public is desirable.

    VIP Hospitality/Service - Responsible for delivering a premium hospitality experience in the Yacht Club, providing high quality service to all guests. A strong background in hospitality or restaurant service is essential.

    Cleaners - The Taste of Summer cleaning team are an external contractor and work tirelessly to ensure the site is kept clean and tidy. The cleaners also conduct waste sorting and are an essential part of the waste management plan. If you are interested in working as part of the cleaning team, we can put you in touch. 

    Stall Casual - Some Taste of Summer stallholders are seeking casual staff to support food service. If you are interesed in working in a stall, we can put you in touch.

     

    Bump in dates: Monday 30 November - Thursday 24 December 2026
    Event dates: Sunday 27 December 2026 - Sunday 3 January 2027
    Bump out dates: Monday 4 January - Friday 15 January 2027

    Most bump in/out shifts fall between 8am - 6pm, Monday - Saturday
    Most event shifts will occur between 8am - 11pm all event days.

    Availability for bump in/out is required for Site Crew and advantageous for all other roles.
