    Please read the instructions and review requirements carefully. You can find additional information and resources on the Budget Page of the Manhattan Borough President's website.

    ***The deadline to submit all application materials is 5:00 PM on Thursday, February 19, 2026***

    ALL APPLICANTS MUST COMPLETE TWO APPLICATION FORMS:

    1. [EVERYONE] MBP General Capital Request Form (this form) AND

    2. [PICK ONE] If you are a

    • Public School or NYC Agency, complete this application.
    • Non-city (Cultural), complete New York City Department of Cultural Affairs (DCLA) capital application via CapGrants.
    • Non-city (Non-cultural), complete the Mayor's Office of Management and Budget (OMB) capital application via CapGrants

    Generally, your project is considered a non-City project if you are a not-for-profit organization.

    YOUR REQUEST CANNOT BE ACCEPTED IF YOU DO NOT COMPLETE BOTH APPLICATIONS BY THE DEADLINE (FEBRUARY 19, 2026 at 5PM).

    We are especially interested in proposals that promote access, affordability, and equity in the arts and cultural sector.

  • SCHOOLS ONLY: Public schools must obtain a project cost quote from the School Construction Authority (SCA) in order to be considered for funds. Schools must use FAMIS for technology quotes.

  • Organizations seeking capital funds must have City contracts totaling $50,000 in the last three years including the current fiscal year.

    If you are a cultural organization you must be a recipient of Cultural Development Funds from the Department of Cultural Affairs. Does your organization meet this eligibility criteria?

  • CONTACT INFORMATION

    We ask for a main contact person at the organization (lobbyists cannot be primary contacts).
  • Grant Contact

    This should be the person who is the POC at the group for this grant. This person will be responsible for contracting on behalf of the organization.
  • Exec Director, Principal, or Agency Head

    This should be the leader of an organization, agency, or school. Any award letters will be addressed to this person.
  • Lobbyist (if any)

  • Everyone is required to complete a second application by 2/19 at 5pm
