Plant Operator of the Year

The Plant Operator of the Year award category celebrates the vital role of plant operators in delivering civil infrastructure projects. It recognises individuals who demonstrate outstanding plant expertise, operational excellence, safety and maintenance, and strong teamwork and leadership. The award honours those who contribute to project success while upholding the highest standards of safety, productivity, and professionalism.

• The nominee must be in a civil contracting plant operator role (either full-time or part-time) for at least six of the last 12 months.

• The nominee holds the relevant current plant operation licences and has successfully completed Verification of Competency (VOC) assessments for all plant operated, demonstrating verified practical skills and adherence to safety standards. For more information on VOC, please refer to the Civil Train website.

• The nomination must include a letter of endorsement from the nominee’s supervisor, manager, or other relevant stakeholder.
  
  
• The nomination is based on the nominee’s performance from 30 May 2025 to 18 May 2026 only.
  
  
• Only one (1) nominee per category, per company will be accepted in order of submission date.
  
  
• Nominations may be marked down or deemed inelgible if:
  • The submission exceeds the word limit set per criterion, or
  • The submission does not address each criterion.

All nominations must be formally approved by the nominee's employer or authorised representitive by signing this form.

All finalists should be available to attend the Excellence in Civil Construction Awards, held Friday 7 August 2026.

All nominations must be submitted by the closing date listed in the Key Dates section of this form.

If an extension is required, it must be requested prior to the closing date. Late submissions without prior approval will not be accepted. CCF QLD does not guarantee approval of an extension at any time.
