• 2026 Election Protection Poll Monitor Application (General Election)

  • The North Carolina Black Alliance is a 501c3 organization that addresses policy and economic issues to enhance black communities by developing and promoting systemic policy change as well as youth and leadership development. NCBA seeks to collaborate with strategic partners to advance the work of those organizations and to enhance intentional collaboration with our black communities.

    We are seeking motivated individuals as Election Protection Volunteer Monitors in North Carolina to train and prepare for 2026 general elections. Applications will only be accepted electronically. We are hiring for multiple shifts, and the shifts will remain open until filled.

    Poll Monitor Opportunity
    FLSA Status: Non-exempt
    Compensation: $20 per Hour
    Position: Part-time Contract, Flexible
    Dates of Employment (Contract): October 15th to November 10

    Our election protection effort is to provide safe voting sites for communities of color during the 2026 general elections. 

    Qualifications and Experience:

    • Have access to a smartphone for job duration
    • Work well independently towards a team goal
    • Strong interpersonal skills and outgoing personality
    • Be goal-oriented, punctual, organized, and have a positive attitude

    • October 21
    • October 28

    Note: Individuals who also signed up for canvassing will NOT be elgible for election protection until November 1.
