HERE/NOW 2026 - SUBMISSION GUIDELINES
Artists from across the Central West are invited to submit artwork for our annual community exhibition HERE/NOW. Works will be exhibited at Orange Regional Gallery from 19 September - 25 October 2026.
There will be an opening celebration at 6pm, Friday 18 September 2026.
Entry Criteria
- Artists must be living within the Central West LGAs of Orange, Bathurst, Blayney, Cabonne, Cowra, Forbes, Lachlan, Lithgow, Oberon, Parkes and Weddin Shire.
- Artists must be 16 years of age or older
- Artwork maximum size: 100cm high x 100cm wide
- Artwork maximum weight: 20kg
- Artwork must arrive ready to hang/install. 2D works require D hooks to be attached
- The Gallery reserves the right to refuse submissions that advocate hatred, discrimination and violence towards individuals or groups.
- The Gallery reserves the right to refuse artwork submissions if they contain explicit content
- The Gallery does not accept any Artificial Intelligence (AI) generated images as artworks in the HERE/NOW exhibition.
- All submissions must be an original work created by the artist without being generated by AI software.
- By entering this exhibition the artist agrees that they are the sole creator of their own artwork.
- Due to the space and technical limitations of the exhibition, we do not accept works that are video work, performance art or installations.
Entry Process

Submissions close Sunday 2 August 2026 at midnight. Entries received after this deadline will not be accepted.
Artists may submit up to two artworks for consideration. Gallery staff will select one work by each artist for inclusion in the exhibition. Artists will be notified which work has been selected by email by Friday 14 August.
Only the selected work is to be delivered to Orange Regional Gallery reception between 10am and 4pm, from Friday 4 September - Sunday 6 September 2026. When delivering works artists will be asked to sign a loan agreement that covers the duration of the exhibition. Please note that artists must take any packaging materials away with them as it cannot be stored at the Gallery.
The Artwork must be labeled with the Artist's name and contact information on the back of the work.
Artworks are to be collected from Gallery Reception between 4 - 5pm, Sunday 25 October, Monday 26 October (10am – 4pm), Tuesday 27 October (10am – 4pm) 2026. Please note that the Gallery does not have capacity to store artworks past these dates.

Sale of works
- Any sales are to be handled by the artist
- Artworks for sale will have the price listed on the artwork label in the exhibition
- If someone is interested in purchasing, the Gallery will copy the artist and potential buyer into an email together to organise the payment independently
- If a work is sold the artist must contact the Gallery confirming the purchase and the buyer’s contact details so that the Gallery can mark the work as sold with a red dot.
- The artwork will be available for collection at the end of the exhibition
- The Gallery will not take a commission on the sale of works.
