IPPS 2026 Call for Symposia

    Open call for symposia for the 29th annual International Pelvic Pain Society Meeting, October 11-12 in Rochester, Minnesota, USA.
  • Symposia will be 90-minute sessions featuring clinical applications and hands-on skills. Symposia are intended to provide attendees with more in-depth learning about topics related to chronic pelvic pain while providing the opportunity for interaction with experts in a specific field.

    SUBMISSION CRITERIA

    • Each symposium must have no more than 3 core faculty. If additional faculty are needed for hands-on skills or small groups, they should be listed as supplementary faculty.
    • The organizer and all faculty must register to attend the meeting (registration, lodging and travel costs will not be covered by the IPPS).   
    • A faculty member may not be involved in more than one symposium.
    • Faxed, emailed, or mailed proposals will not be accepted.
    • The Scientific Program Committee reserves the right to request changes of specific speakers and/or presentation and to make acceptance of the proposal contingent on those changes.
    • All faculty must review the IPPS speaker instructions (https://youtu.be/IUJEXPx4SgU?si=oxLjIs-rAn_cWkjH) and comply with speaker guidelines (e.g. using only generic names when pharmaceuticals are presented) after acceptance and prior to presentation.
    • Symposia must conform the IPPS symposium format provided in the submission portal.

    ITEMS REQUIRED FOR PROPOSALS INCLUDE:

    • Topic and symposium title
    • Intended audience
    • 3 Educational objectives (using Bloom’s taxonomy verbs)
    • In-depth description of each session
    • Describe devices, equipment, or other special requirements needed for the symposium
    • How do you plan to engage the audience? The symposium must include case-based discussion or hands on learning. Didactic lectures alone are not supported

    SPEAKERS MUST PROVIDE:

    • Professional information (title, institution, name) & contact information
    • CVs for each faculty

    *Preference will be given to proposals that show clear methods for engaging the audience and encourage discussion using case-based examples.

    **If selected, the organized must agree to comply with all timelines for submitting symposium materials including slides and printed materials for all faculty.

    The Scientific Program Committee seeks diverse proposals that address a variety of topics and diverse perspectives. When submitting a proposal, please select the most appropriate topic from the list provided below:

     1. Visceral Bladder Pain

    • Bladder Pain Syndrome: Ins and Outs of Physiology and Treatment
     2. Procedural Interventions for Pain
    • Neuropathies and neuralgias: Nerve Block Rationale and Technique
    • Pelvic floor Trigger points and Botox

    3. Myofascial pelvic pain or dysfunction

    • Advancing skills in physical therapy
    • Introducing supplements to manual therapy in an evidence-based way (Shockwave, Dry Needling, etc)
     
    4. Streamlining an Endometriosis and Pelvic Pain Practice to Thrive:
    • The role of AI in clinic
    • Documentation, coding and billing of pain interventions
    • Tips for scheduling pain patients in your practice
    • Building your team
    • Online resources for your practice

     5. Psychosocial pain mechanisms

    • Communicating in your practice using principals of Psychosocial Pain Mechanisms

However, each of the employers for whom the symposium work was performed reserve all other rights, specifically including the following: All proprietary rights other than copyright of the symposium transferred to IPPS.

    Conflict of Interest: Speakers are required to disclose any conflict of interest on their submitted symposium. Details should be listed on one of the first slides of their submitted symposium presentation.
