• St. Johns County School District ESE Parent Advisory Council (EPAC) Voting Member Application

    Apply to serve as a Voting Member of the Exceptional Student Education Parent Advisory Council (EPAC). Please review the qualifications, Code of Ethics, and agreement sections carefully before submitting your application.EPAC meetings are open to the public, and individuals do not need to be Voting Members to participate meaningfully in meetings, discussions, or subcommittees.   • Availability and Commitment EPAC meets bi-monthly during the school year. Members are expected to participate regularly and engage respectfully and collaboratively. Are you able to commit to regular attendance and participation?*
  • Initial members only - to facilitate a staggered term to maintain continuity please select your preferred term. Members can serve again if elected and terms after foundational year will be 2 year terms.   • There shall be up to 15 Voting Members, which may include:
    Parent/guardian representatives of students receiving or eligible for ESE services (majority of members)
    Two ESE teachers, at least one who is employed by the District
    One District/Charter transition program representative
    One charter school representative or parent
    One homeschool school representative or parent
    One private school/micro school representative or parent
    One Center for Autism and Related Disabilities (CARD) Representative
    One District ESE administrative representative
    Only Voting Members may vote on Council business.


    D. Non‑Voting Members
    Non‑Voting Members serve in an advisory and liaison capacity and include:
    Executive Director of Exceptional Student Education
    Assistant Superintendent for Academic Services (or designee)
    One School Board Member

    General Members
    Any parent, caregiver, educator, or community stakeholder may participate as a General Member. General Members may attend meetings, serve on subcommittees, and provide public comment, but do not vote.
