• Howard County Canvassing Sign-up: Learning from renters and families

Want to do something concrete for children, youth, and renters in Howard County? We’re recruiting volunteers to support a community-led door-to-door listening and renter organizing effort with the Howard County Office of the Local Children’s Board and the Horizon Foundation. In pairs of two people, we’ll knock doors in neighborhoods like Wilde Lake and Harper’s Choice to learn directly from families about housing stability, youth needs, and access to services. This is about more than data—it’s about relationships, trust, and building a renter and family base that can shape better county decisions. If you believe people closest to the issues should shape the solutions, we’d love to knock doors alongside you.
