Clone of Future Shocks Challenge Grant 2025

A case study, for the purposes of this Challenge, is a real‑world example demonstrating how a government or community organization implemented a specific strategy, program, technology, or capability to address a defined challenge. We provide this definition to ensure applicants do not spend time preparing submissions that fall outside the scope of what we are seeking.

The goal is not to fund new research or proposed future work. Instead, we aim to capture and amplify tested, practical results—highlighting lessons learned, success factors, and approaches that can be replicated or adapted elsewhere. This year, we are especially focused on solutions involving emerging technologies.

Before Applying
I am submitting a case study that complies with the definition provided above and the objective of the Challenge.
I understand that the Challenge team will only consider case studies that can demonstrate results from the past 24 months.
I understand that my proposal should include quantifiable results that show the impact of implementing the solution.
This case study can be replicated or adapted to other localities.
I understand that one person will be designated as the primary point of contact for the IBM team and will be responsible for coordination with any co-authors.
I understand that, if the case study is accepted for publication, I will be required to collaborate with the IBM team to edit the case study such that it conforms to IBM editorial guidelines.
