Cove Point Natural Heritage Trust invites you to join our Daytime FrogWatch Herpetology Study at Cove Point, a hike guided by Matt Neff (Curator, Calvert Marine Museum). This is an educational hike through local forests and wetlands to observe amphibians in their natural environment while learning about amphibian ecology. Join our search for rare, threatened and endangered species and learn about conservation challenges to protect them.
Date: Wednesday, May 6th, 2026
Time: 10am-12pm
Hike Leader: Matt Neff, Curator, Calvert Marine Museum
Location: in the parking lot across from the Starbucks in Lusby. From there we will encourage carpooling in 4 cars for a short 1/2 mile drive to trail location off Webster Dr.
Route: Approximately two miles, following trails & a primitive section through trees and brush. Intermediate level hike.
Please Wear/Bring: Long pants and long sleeves, sturdy footwear for hiking, water, insect repellent
