    Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated was founded on January 16, 1920, on the campus of Howard University in Washington, D.C., by five visionary college women dedicated to enriching the social and intellectual aspects of college life. Today, Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. continues to be a channel through which college-educated women work to improve the social and economic conditions of their communities, emphasizing the principles of Scholarship, Service, Sisterhood, and Finer Womanhood.

    In keeping with the mission of our Founders, the Gamma Alpha Beta Zeta Chapter is proud to offer our Annual Scholarship Program to support students in their academic pursuits and to promote our founding principles. We are pleased to offer three (3) scholarship opportunities for 2026, now open to students from Abington Township and surrounding areas which includes Cheltenham Township, Upper Dublin Township, Springfield Township, Hatboro-Horsham Township, Upper Moreland Township, Lower Moreland Township, Jenkintown, Rockledge, Bryn Athyn, and Spring House.

  • Academic Excellence Scholarship ($2,500)

    • Must be a female African American high school senior.

    • A minimum 3.3 GPA.

    • Demonstrates active involvement in extracurricular, civic, and/or community activities.

    • Must plan to attend a two-year or four-year college or university during the 2026–2027 academic year.

    • Application deadline: March 15, 2026

  • Community Service Scholarship ($2,500)

    • Must be a female African American high school senior.

    • A minimum 3.0 GPA.

    • Must show active participation and contributions in the community with documented service or volunteer work over the past four (4) years.

    • Must plan to attend a two-year or four-year college or university during the 2026–2027 academic year.

    • Application deadline: March 15, 2026

  • Diamonds and Pearls Finer Womanhood Leadership Scholarship ($1,000)

    • Must be a female African American high school senior.

    • A minimum 3.0 GPA.

    • Must demonstrate leadership through formal roles or consistent community stewardship for at least two (2) years.

    • Must plan to attend a two-year or four-year college or university during the 2026–2027 academic year.

    • Application deadline: March 15, 2026
