ABOUT THE EXHIBITION
In 2026, the Coastal ClayMakers members’ exhibition, FLUX, will showcase a diverse cross-section of contemporary ceramics at YAM, Yarilla Arts and Museum, Coffs Harbour. The exhibition will feature small artworks by Coastal ClayMakers members. Each piece will be no more than 15cm deep and wide, and no more than 40cm high. The work can be any functional or sculptural object and should be responsive to the exhibition title FLUX.
FLUX will highlight the diversity and excellence of ceramic practice on the Mid North Coast providing selected Coastal ClayMakers members with an opportunity to exhibit, promote, and sell recent work. We encourage all current Coastal ClayMakers to apply - there is no entry fee.

EXHIBITION THEME: Flux – to shape and to fuse motion and memory
This exhibition will explore transformation, movement, and the imprint of memory through clay - celebrating how the material holds traces of change, emotion, and time.
We welcome submissions that:
-are functional or sculptural and/or
-experimental and/or
-reflect how clay captures change, motion and memory
ELIGIBILITY AND KEY INFORMATION
- The applicant is required to be a Coastal ClayMakers member at the time of submitting the FLUX proposal, through to the close of the exhibition (15 November 2026).
- The application process enables members to submit up to three works for consideration.
- Work can be for sale. If the artist collects GST this must be built into the sale price along with the 33% commission taken by the gallery.
-Works can also be designated NFS (not for sale)
- Artworks must be no more than 15cm deep and wide, and no more than 40cm high. Please ensure works are indeed within 15 x 15 x 40cm. Works larger than these dimensions will not be accepted.
- All work to be made primarily out of clay or ceramic.
- Works will be selected by the YAM curatorial team and a representative from the Australian Ceramics Association.

Delivery of artwork to YAM: 12 October 2026 between 10am-1pm
Exhibition opens: 15 October 2026
