2026 Brews & Bites Fundraiser - Booth Application

The City of Santee is proud to host our spook-tacular Brews & Bites Fundraiser!
The Brews & Bites Fundraiser is hosted by the City of Santee in partnership with the Santee Community Foundation, a 501c3 nonprofit organization that provides funding and advocacy for Santee's People, Parks, and Recreational Programs.

Brews & Bites Festival is a food and beverage sampling event where dozens of vendors interact with over 1,500 participants as they enjoy food and beverage samples (while supplies last), listen to live music, and engage in various fundraising activities.

For this event, the City of Santee will provide vendors with:

- 10x10 space

- Option to rent Equipment *see charges below

- Hand washing stations

- 3 compartment sink

- Dump bucket

- ABC License

- (4) Vendor Festival wristbands for staff working

- Business Sign to hang on the booth

- Qualified Food Vendors could receive a $200 stipend!

Booth Equipment - $100 fee

If you are unable to provide your own equipment, the City of Santee will provide (1) 10'x10' canopy, (4) canopy weights, sidewall, (1) six-foot table, and (1) tablecloth for a fee of $100.

Vendor to Supply:

- Minimum of 2,000 bite-sized samples or small-pour samples (4oz. beer or 1oz wine/spirits)

- Equipment to pour beverages (i.e. jockey boxes, wine openers, etc.)

- Staff to support food/beverage distribution (must be aged 21+)

- High-Quality jpeg or PNG company logo

Food vendors only:

- Declaration of for-profit food vendor

- Health Permit

- Temporary Event Food Facility - Event Day Reminder (Food vendors only)

Commercial businesses not in the food and beverage industry may apply to participate; however, we require all applicants to provide beverage sampling (alcoholic beverage or mocktail).

I UNDERSTAND AND ACKNOWLEDGE that participating in Santee Brews and Bites (“Event”) presents the potential for injury, death, and property loss. The risks include, but are not limited to those caused by terrain, facilities, equipment, and the actions of others, including, but not limited to City of Santee workers, other participants, spectators, and volunteers. I understand and acknowledge that my injuries, death or property loss are solely my responsibility and not the responsibility of the City of Santee. I understand that I am assuming all risks associated with participation in the Event. I ACKNOWLEDGE that this form will be used by the City of Santee and that it will govern my actions and my responsibilities. In consideration and participation of this event: I hereby WAIVE, RELEASE, AND DISCHARGE the City of Santee, its officials, directors, officers, employees, volunteers, contractors, and attorneys (collectively, “Releasees”) from any and all alleged and actual claims, damages, remedies, causes of action, demands, and other liabilities (collectively, “Liabilities”) arising out of or in any manner related to my participating in the Event. The foregoing release and waiver applies to all Liabilities, whether retrospective, current, or prospective, known or unknown, foreseeable or unforeseeable, whether caused by the negligence of the Releasees or otherwise. With respect to the matters released hereunder, the undersigned waives any rights or benefits that he or she might otherwise have under California law. I specifically waive the provisions of Section 1542 of the California Civil Code, and any other similar statute or provision, which provides as follows: A GENERAL RELEASE DOES NOT EXTEND TO CLAIMS THAT THE CREDITOR OR RELEASING PARTY DOES NOT KNOW OR SUSPECT TO EXIST IN HIS OR HER FAVOR AT THE TIME OF EXECUTING THE RELEASE AND THAT, IF KNOWN BY HIM OR HER, WOULD HAVE MATERIALLY AFFECTED HIS OR HER SETTLEMENT WITH THE DEBTOR OR RELEASED PARTY. I also agree to indemnify, defend with counsel of the City’s choosing, and save and hold harmless the City and the Releasees from any and all liability, claims, suits, actions, arbitration proceedings, administrative or regulatory proceedings, losses, expenses, or costs of any kind, whether actual alleged, or threatened, actual attorney’s fees incurred by the City, court costs, interest, defense costs, including expert witness fees, and any other costs of any kind incurred in relation to or in any way attributable to the actual or contemplated participation in the Event, including, but not limited to, any liability, harm, penalty, or loss to persons or property, or which may arise from any violation of the law, including any harm to the Event facilities or caused by the Event facilities. THIS WAIVER, RELEASE, AND DISCHARGE COVERS MY PERSONAL RIGHTS. I UNDERSTAND that I am giving up substantial rights to recover damages in the event of injury, death, or damage to property by signing this Waiver and Release of Liability. I acknowledge and expressly agree that the foregoing release, waiver, and indemnity provisions are intended to be as broad and inclusive as is permitted by the laws of the State of California. I further agree that if any portion of this Agreement is held invalid, the balance of this Agreement shall, notwithstanding, continue in full legal force and effect.*
