Bring a soil sample from your farm and get it looked at by regenerative agriculture soil scientists in the Agri-Innovation Village.
This is open to all farmers and landowners, whether you’re arable or grassland. Just bring a block of soil about the size of a medium coffee cup, dug from 0–10 cm deep (or a bit deeper if you’re worried about compaction).
It’s a great chance to learn what healthy soil looks like, spot key soil indicators, and have a proper chat about soil health on your own farm.
Simply bring your soil sample at the time you book below for initial analysis and discussion. Full results will be emailed to you approx. 1 week later.
Please:
- Put your soil in a plastic bag or container
- Add a label saying how the field has been managed
Drop samples off with Holly Jones, Farmer Scientist Network Coordinator, or with the team from the University of Leeds and University of Sheffield at the Agri Innovation Village (Grid Ref: D7).
