  • Community of Practice Day - 14th March 9am - 6pm

    Pinkston Watersports is excited to share our very first Community of Practice Day, delivered in partnership with Paddle Scotland. This special event will bring together Scotland’s paddling community for a day of shared learning, inspiration, and time on the water. This day is aimed at people currently paddling recreationally and are Paddle Scotland members. The event is designed to celebrate learning through practice and community.

  • Itinerary

    • 09:00 - Arrive at Pinkston
    • 09:30 - Paddle Scotland introduction and overview of day.
    • 10:30 - Session of choice one
    • 12:00 - Lunch
    • 13:00 - Session of choice two
    • 15:00 - Session of choice three
    • 17:00 - Key speakers
  • Activity Options :

    1. Stand-Up Paddleboarding - Suitable for any paddler wanting to gain confidence on a SUP. Delivered by Adam Burns

    2. Intro to Wild Water Racing - Suitable for any paddler. Delivered by Fraser Gormal

    3. Intro to Slalom - Suitable for beginner white water paddlers (must pass competency test). Delivered by Michael Brown.

    4. SUP racing - Suitable for people that are competent paddleboarders. Delivered by Jennifer Armstrong.

    5. Intro to Canoe Polo - Suitable for any paddler. Delivered by Ian Waller and Liam Fleet.

    6. Intermediate Slalom - Suitable for experienced white water paddlers (must pass competency test). Delivered by Michael Brown.

    7. Intro to Freestyle - Suitable for beginner white water paddlers (must pass competency test). Delivered by Niamh Shannon.

    8. Intermediate Freestyle - Suitable for experience white water paddler (reliable role and pass competency test). By Bruce Jolliffe

    9. Flat water canoeing - Suitable for any paddler.

  • What to Bring

    • Paddling kit including discipline specific boats if you have them (ie. slalom, freestyle etc.) 
    • Warm clothes - we can support people with wetsuits, centre spec cags & helmets
    • Lunch
