At Holy Trinity Day School, we are passionate about nurturing the whole child--cognitively, physically, emotionally, socially, and spiritually, using a wide variety of techniques, activities, and each child’s own interests. One of the means we use to further these goals is through our summer camp experiences.
This summer we will host six camp sessions. Each camp session lasts 3 days (Tuesday through Thursday) and is structured around a different theme. Through an age-appropriate, play-based curriculum, students will explore, create, and connect with the theme through meaningful, hands-on activities geared toward preschoolers’ natural curiosity and investigative natures.
THEMES:
Camp 1: May 26-28 Helping Hands: Helping Hands is a camp on service learning and kindness. Young children love to help, participate, and serve. Campers will raise awareness and funds for a charitable organization by hosting a lemonade stand on campus (how fun is that!). Throughout the week, campers will be active participants in making our community a better place through their own “helping hands.”
Camp 2: June 2-4 Sizzling Summer Science: Young children’s love of investigation, questioning, and getting messy make them naturals in the field of science. Campers will explore topics through engaging activities that are geared towards their curious, active minds.
Camp 3: June 9-11 Ocean Odyssey: Campers will enjoy learning about the ocean and the assortment of living organisms that inhabit the sea through crafts, stories, songs and play.
Camp 4: July 14-16 All About Animals: Campers will become mini zoologists as they learn about the amazing and diverse animal world. Campers will learn about a variety of animals as they investigate animal sounds, habitats, diets, and movement.
Camp 5: July 21- 23 Fit and Fun: Campers will experience fitness as fun this week with a focus on teamwork, as well as building gross motor skills, coordination, and healthy habits through active play, yoga, and games.
Camp 6: July 28-30 Let's Go Camping: Campers will experience camping fun and the great outdoors through camping activities and adventures such as taking a nature walk, identifying sounds of nature, playing in tents, pretend fishing, and singing campfire songs.
*All camp placements are subject to the discretion of the Director.
