  • I understand that full-season payment is due by June 12, 2026. Drop-in payments are due by the Thursday prior to the Farmers Market date I will be attending.

  • I understand that full payment and any schedule changes are due by the Thursday prior to each market. Withdrawals after that date will result in forfeiture of event fees. Late additions after Thursday are unlikely and subject to the Market Manager’s discretion.

  • By submitting this application, I am applying to participate in the Cross Orchards Farmers Market. Submission of an application does not guarantee acceptance or a space in the 2025 Farmers Market.

  • The Cross Orchards Farmers Market Committee reserves the right to decline any Farmers Market application and is not required to provide a reason.
     

  • No refunds will be issued after 5:00 PM on the Thursday prior to each market. Full-season payments are nonrefundable after June 14 or after the vendor’s first market, whichever occurs first.
     

  • I release and hold harmless the Cross Orchards Farmers Market Committee, the Cross Orchards Historic Site, the Museums of Western Colorado, and all associated entities from any and all liability, including but not limited to theft, personal injury, acts of war, or acts of God.
     

  • I understand that by submitting this application, I am committing to participate in the Cross Orchards Farmers Market. Unless I am notified that my application has not been accepted or that I have been placed on a waitlist, I agree to attend as a vendor in good standing. Failure to do so will result in forfeiture of all booth fees and the assessment of a $20 no-show fee.
     

  • I verify the above information is complete and accurate, I am an authorized signer for my company. Also, I understand all terms and conditions from both this application and all applicable supporting documents listed above.

  • Vendor Requirements

    1. The Venue Hours for 2026: 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM. All vendors are responsible for personal booth set up and must be set up 15 minutes before market opening and are not to tear down until 12:00 PM, unless Market Manager decides to close due to inclement weather.
    2. Vendors must have a canopy or large umbrella for shade. Tents must be properly weighted by each vendor.
    3. Please move vehicles after finishing unloading to allow customers to be able to park their cars closer to the Market.
    4. Booths will not be held for late vendors (arriving past 8:15 am). Holes in the market will be plugged as the manager sees fit to avoid an unsightly market. Continuous late arrivals may result in a late fee of up to $35 per market.
    5. All vendors are responsible for the necessary licenses and permits for their booth, and displaying them when required.
    6. Vendors selling tax qualifying items are required to remit sales tax collected. Food sold to be eaten on the premises and other goods are subject to sales tax. There is no sales tax on food for home consumption. It is up to the vendor to comply with all State and City sales tax regulations.
    7. All ready-to-eat Food Vendors must have qualified concessionaire status through the process administered by the Mesa County Health Department and be listed on the website as an approved vendor for the 2025 season. The Food Vendor application through Mesa County can be found at https://health.mesacounty.us/retail-food-safety/.
    8. A Mesa County Business License or City of Grand Junction Special Event License must be acquired for applicable vendors before market participation and must be prominently displayed.
    9. Vendors selling items for consumption must provide a certificate of insurance naming both Museums of Western Colorado and the City of Grand Junction as Certificate Holders. This applies to ready to eat vendors including food trucks.
    10. All vendors are required to carry general liability insurance with a minimum coverage of $1 million per occurrence and $2 million aggregate, and must provide a Certificate of Insurance naming the Museums of Western Colorado as an additional insured.
    11. Retail Food Establishment license is required to be on file with the Cross Orchards Farmers Market for all prepared food items sold at the market.
    12. Vendors producing samples shall follow the appropriate local and federal guidelines. All produce MUST be washed prior to being sampled to the consumer including whole, uncut produce.
    13. Anyone preparing samples at the Farmers Market MUST set up their own preparation station including a handwashing station at their booth.
    14. Samples prepared at home must be prepared in a clean, sanitary manner that adheres to Colorado Cottage Food Act and MCPH guidelines.
    15. A limited list of food items may be prepared in a private home kitchen and sold for public consumption. Vendors who wish to sell food under the Colorado Cottage Foods Act must provide a current food safety training certificate with their application.
    16. Vendors selling cottage foods are required to have their food labelled in accordance with the Colorado Cottage Food Act regulations. For more information please visit https://cdphe.colorado.gov/dehs/cottage-foods
    17. If a grower markets produce or products as being "organic" they must have the USDA approved certification clearly displayed.
    18. Participants must obtain approval from the Market Manager before introducing a new product not represented on application.
    19. Each booth space size is 10’X10’ and all signs and accessory items must be confined within booth space.
    20. I understand that this is a local market, vendors can supplement with other produce that is grown within a 100-mile radius of Grand Junction, Colorado. If produce has been supplemented, proper signage indicating where produce was purchased and from whom it was purchased.
    21. Documentation is required to indicate where any supplemented produce is being provided from. Vendors who are selling produce that is not sourced within a 100-mile radius of Grand Junction, Colorado will be asked to remove the produce from their booth. If non-authorized produce sales continue, the vendor will be removed from the market and NO REFUND will be given. Not following these regulations could result in the removal of our market from the program. We ask that you are honest in where produce is sourced from.
    22. Vendors are not allowed to “sell or sublet” their space. If you request more than one booth space, you must use both spaces for your approved business. If you no longer need two spaces, please email FarmersMarket@mowc.co to let us know and the space will be assigned to a different vendor.
    23. If you have purchased an additional booth space, each 10’x10’ space must contain a tent to “fill” the space. You are not allowed to use fewer tents than spaces. You will be notified of this rule on the first offence and the following week, your space will be reduced to a 10’x’10’ space without a refund on the second space.
    24. Although vendors are assigned a booth space, the Market Manager reserves the right to move or relocate vendors as necessary to accommodate the market’s needs.
    25. Certified For Trade scales must be used for all items sold by weight.
    26. A high quality of produce is to be maintained.
    27. The Cross Orchards Farmers Market will not accept any political groups as a vendor.
    28. Distribution of printed materials (other than pre-approved vendor brochures), petitions, or political or religious advertisements is not permissible.
    29. Vendors are not allowed to promote their booths in front of neighboring booths or more than 5 feet outside of their booth.
    30. Electricity may be requested however there are a limited number of booths that have access to electricity and an electric fee will be applied.
    31. Participants expected on any market day must notify FarmersMarket@mowc.co by 5PM on the Thursday before the market if they are unable to attend. Failure to notify Cross Orchards market team before the Thursday before the market will result in forfeiture of booth fees and may result in losing a space in the market and a no show fee of up to $35 per market.
    32. Each vendor is responsible for leaving their area neat and clean after the day’s market.
    33. The Cross Orchards Historic Site and Museums of Western Colorado assume no responsibility for injury theft, loss or damages incurred.
    34. Any rude or offensive actions or language WILL NOT be tolerated, and vendor will be asked to immediately leave with NO REFUND.
    35. Smoking is not allowed within the Farmers Market event area as a courtesy to our visitors and other vendors.
    36. Marijuana is not allowed to be sold, smoked, or consumed on the event venue.
    37. Dogs will be allowed at the market, but they must be leashed and well behaved. Please clean up after your pet.
    38. No knives or guns (real or fake) will be allowed to be sold or used within Market hours.
    39. I understand that this application does not guarantee a space in the Market.
      Cross Orchards Farmers Market reserves the right to adjust, clarify or edit any part of this application at any time.
    40. The Market Manager has final decision without exception.
