The Georgia Tennis Foundation (GTF) is proud to offer the Richard Bowers Tennis Scholarship, in conjunction with the GTF's partnership with the Atlanta Senior Invitational (ASI) tournament. The recipient of the Richard Bowers Tennis Scholarship will receive an award equal to $1,500 for the given calendar academic year (2025/26).

The Richard Bowers Tennis Scholarship will be awarded to a selected Georgia player who is 1) currently on a varsity high school tennis team 2) has an immediate family member who is currently serving or has previously served in the military 3) intends to enroll as a full-time undergraduate student

The scholarship is named after Richard Bowers, a long-time ASI Presenting Sponsor and Committee member. Richard is a former high ranked junior player who attended the United States Military Academy West Point and was a member of their tennis team. In addition, Richard was inducted to the Georgia Tennis Hall of Fame in 2015.
