Teacher Award - Application Form 2026

CPF BC & Yukon Teacher Award

The CPF BC & Yukon Award has been offered annually since 1992 and is valued at $2,000. There are up to two awards available to any French-language teacher who, within one year prior to the deadline, has been registered in a French Professional Development Program or their final year of a Bachelor's of Education.

*PLEASE NOTE THAT YOUR PROGRESS THROUGH THIS FORM WILL NOT BE SAVED UNTIL IT IS SUBMITTED. CONSIDERING THIS, PLEASE HAVE ALL REQUIRED DOCUMENTS (LISTED BELOW) READY WHEN YOU BEGIN THE FORM.

Application Documents

All applicants must submit:
*1 - A cover letter addressed to the CPF BC & Yukon Award Selection Committee that describes your work or volunteer experience with youth, participation in community affairs using French, your teaching goals (where? what level? how do you plan to inspire your students?)

*2 - Proof of acceptance/enrolment in a French PDP/Bachelor's of Ed. program (letter of acceptance)

*3 - One letter of reference or practicum report verifying French competency from supervisory teacher or Education Office

*4 - University transcript (from all institutions attended, official or unofficial accepted)

*5 - Proof of practicum.

**Please note that to receive the award the selected applicant(s) will be asked to submit proof that they are teaching French at a public school in B.C. or Yukon.

1 - Cover Letter *

A cover letter addressed to the CPF BC & Yukon Award Selection Committee that describes your work or volunteer experience with youth, participation in community affairs using French, your teaching goals (where? what level? how do you plan to inspire your students?).

2 - Proof of PDP/B.ed program acceptance*

Proof of acceptance/enrolment in a French PDP/Bachelor's of Ed. program. Letter of acceptance will suffice.

One letter of reference or practicum report verifying French competency from supervisory teacher or Education Office.

4 - Complete post-secondary transcript*

Transcripts from all institutions attended, official or unofficial accepted.

Either a practicum report or a letter from your supervisory teacher or Teacher Education Office indicating that you undertook your practicum will be accepted.
