1st Annual Smokin’ Showdown – Sweetwater BBQ Contest
Happening Saturday 23, 2026 in Loranger, Louisiana. This Barbecue Competition Alliance (BCA)–sanctioned event has $3,500 in payouts for 25 teams, plus $100 per additional cook, with money paid our for a minimum of 1st–5th place in each meat category. Registration Fee Payment
The BCA BBQ Competition Registration fee for Saturday is $150 (includes up to 3 meat categories). Entrants must provide their own meat and enter all three meat categories in order to qualify for Grand Champion. All BCA rules will be followed and can be found at www.bcabbq.org.

Waiver of Liability
In consideration of accepting this entry, each cook waives and releases any and all rights and claims for damages that may have against this event at Sweetwater Campground, Ranch, and Riding Stables or the Barbecue Competitors Alliance (BCA). Further, each cook hereby grants full permission to this event and/or agents authorized by them to use any photographs, video tapes, motion pictures, recordings, any other record of this event for any legitimate purpose. * For 30 teams, the payout would be $3,500 + (30-25) x $100 = $3,500 + $500 = $4,000. Calculation is an example and assumes 30 teams. Prize money will be reduced proportionally for contests with less than 25 teams.
