Volunteer Application Form
  • Welcome and thank you for your interest!

Haven Watch (formerly Safe Haven) was created in Minnesota to help individuals released from ICE detention centers who are often discharged with no phone, ID, transportation, or resources. Many are released into freezing weather after experiencing severe trauma. We provide immediate support, warmth, transportation, and connection to resources so no one is left alone at the gate.
  • IMPORTANT UPDATE AS OF 1-31-2026:

Thank you so much for reaching out and for your interest in supporting Haven Watch. We are truly overwhelmed, in the best possible way, by the outpouring of community support we’ve received. It means more to us than we can adequately put into words. As a very new organization, we are working carefully and thoughtfully to build our volunteer base. We are currently in the process of vetting volunteers and have already begun working with a small number of people. At the same time, we’ve received over 1,000 emails and applications expressing interest, which has been both humbling and a significant undertaking for our very small team. Given our current capacity and immediate needs, we will likely only be reaching out in the near term to volunteers who have wide availability, very specific skill sets, or additional language capabilities. Please know that this is not a reflection of the value of your interest or willingness to help, rather, it’s a practical necessity as we get our footing. We are deeply grateful for your support and patience as we continue to grow. Your willingness to be involved is a powerful reminder of how our strong our community is, and we hope to be in touch as the organization evolves and additional opportunities open up.
