  • Mike Mintenko Scholarship

  • The Mike Mintenko Scholarship was established to assist youth age swimmers, in the Olympic stream of our sport, to pursue excellence in honor of former Olympian, Mike Mintenko (Sydney 2000 and Athens 2004). The former Moose Jaw Kinsmen Flying Fin was inducted into the Saskatchewan Sport Hall of Fame in 2012. See information and video here.

The Mike Mintenko Scholarship has been made possible from the proceeds of fundraising initiatives that Mike and his family undertook related to his journey to Athens for the 2004 Olympic Games, and from fundraising clinics and a dinner held in October 2013.

The intent of the scholarship is to assist youth age swimmers to pursue excellence.
