  • Use this form to apply for a full-tuition scholarship to attend "DNA Discovery Lab: Genetic Engineering" at The Grayson School (June 29-July 10, 2026).

    Funded by GenomeGenius, these scholarships provide students with the opportunity to explore genetics, genetic engineering, and the ethical dimensions of modern biotechnology through hands-on experimentation and inquiry-based learning. 

    Important Details:

    • Award Basis: Scholarship are awarded to qualifying students on a first-come, first-served basis.
    • Deadline: If awarded, families of students will receive instructions to complete registration by April 15. Scholarship applications are accepted on a rolling basis afterwards.

    The GenomeGenius scholarship is designed for students who require financial assistance in order to attend high-quality camp programming such as The Grayson School's "DNA Discovery Lab: Genetic Engineering." The following questions pertain to the demonstrated financial need of the applicant. Financial information will only be shared to the extent that it is required to make scholarship awards. Personal identifiers will be removed where possible.

  • Eligibility for free and reduced price lunch in Pennsylvania is determined by the relative income of the family. For reference, a family of four with an income at or below 130% of the federal poverty level (~$42,000) qualifies for free meals, and up to 185% (~$60,000) qualifies for reduced-price meals. As federal poverty level varies with family size, please refer to this chart in order to determine your family's status.
