    • TERM & CONDITIONS 
    • CANCELLATION POLICY

      COOLING OFF PERIOD

      • Members may cancel within 7 days of sign-up. The cooling-off period commences at 7.00 pm on the day of activation and ends at 7.00 pm, 7 days later. Cancellations must be submitted in writing before this time.

      POST COOLING OFF PERIOD

      • 28 days’ written notice is required.
      • All outstanding fees must be paid prior to cancellation.
      • Direct Debit Memberships are ongoing until cancelled in accordance with this policy.
      • Fees may increase annually on 1 July in line with the Shire of Harvey’s adopted fees and charges.
      • Cancellation requests (direct debit and upfront) must be submitted via email, online or an LLC Cancellation Form (available at Reception).
      • Cancellation is not final until confirmed by LLC in writing.
      • Stopping a direct debit outside this process may result in liability for outstanding fees.
      • Upfront membership refunds are calculated on a pro-rata basis.
      • LLC may suspend or cancel memberships with arrears.
      • Service disruptions due to unforeseen events do not entitle members to refunds or cancellation.

      CANCELLATION FOR MEDICAL REASONS

      • Memberships may be cancelled if a doctor deems the member medically unfit. Requests must be submitted in writing with supporting documentation. Direct debit cancellations take effect from next payment period. Upfront memberships are cancelled from the approval date.

      SUSPENSION

      • Direct debit and 12-month upfront memberships may be suspended for 2–8 weeks at a time.

      • Medical suspensions require a doctor’s certificate (minimum 5 days, maximum 3 months).

      • Suspension requests must be submitted via email, online or via Suspension Form (available at Reception)

      • Suspensions are not backdated except for medical reasons.

       ADMINISTRATION

      • Members must swipe in at each visit when requested.

      • Members must keep personal contact details up to date.

      • A valid email address is required; email is our primary communication method.

      • Member photos are taken for security purposes only.

      CONDUCT/BEHAVIOUR

      • Entry may be refused or membership cancelled for offensive, abusive, threatening or inappropriate behaviour, or being under the influence of drugs or alcohol. Smoking is prohibited near Centre entrances. 

      • Membership is personal and may not be shared or transferred on a day-to-day basis.

      TEEN MEMBERSHIP REQUIREMENTS

      • A pre-exercise questionnaire is compulsory and must be completed at the time of sign up

      • Initial health appraisal and technique session is compulsory.  Access card will not be issued until these have been completed.

      GYM & GROUP FITNESS

      • Members should consult a doctor before commencing exercise.

      • Trainers provide health appraisals and programs every 8–12 weeks at no additional cost

      • Members must check in for classes and obtain a ticket (excluding virtual classes)

      • Towels, appropriate attire and enclosed shoes are required.

      • Timetables may change and class places are not guaranteed.

      AQUATICS

      • No creams, oils or soaps are allowed in the pools or spa.
        Appropriate swim attire only, no clothing allowed in pools or spa.
      • Certain areas may be closed during swim school lessons or events.  Times vary and pool availability is posted at reception and online.

      PAYMENTS

      • Direct debit membership agreements require a parent/guardian to co-sign on the members behalf. 
      • Teen memberships transition to standard rates after the 16th birthday (notice provided).
      • Debit Success is our billing provider and applies an establishment fee ($12) and dishonour fee ($14.95).
      • Membership and Direct Debit Agreements are emailed within 7 days of sign-up.
      • If a debit date falls on a weekend or public holiday, payment is processed the prior business day.
      • Members are responsible for all debt recovery costs incurred.

      OPERATIONAL CHANGES

      • LLC may close areas or equipment, change hours, or vary Centre rules. Reasonable notice will be provided where possible

      BREACH OF TERMS AND CONDITIONS

      • Breaches may result in warnings, suspension or termination of membership.

      MEMBER COMMUNICATION

      • Members may be contacted regarding their membership, Centre updates and events. Personal information will not be disclosed to third parties

      SQUASH COURT USAGE

      • Court access is included in eligible memberships.
      • Bookings are recommended (up to 1 week in advance, 90 minutes max). Courts are unavailable during club events.
      • Members must be present for bookings; booking for non-members is a breach.
      • Racquets are available for hire and balls for purchase.
    • Applicants Acknowledgement

      By signing this agreement, I confirm that:

      1. I will abide by the rules and guidelines of the Leschenault Leisure Centre.
      2. I understand that an initial health appraisal and technique session is compulsory before I can be issued an access card.
      3. I have read, understood, and agree to the Membership Terms & Conditions provided.
      4. I understand that the Shire of Harvey is not responsible for any injury I may suffer while using the Centre’s facilities, whether the injury is self-inflicted, caused by another member, or caused by someone not associated with the Centre. I also understand that the Shire of Harvey is not liable for any loss of, or damage to, personal property, regardless of whether it is caused by members or non-members. This does not apply in cases where injury, loss, or damage is caused or contributed to by the willful negligence or unlawful actions of the Shire of Harvey or its employees, officers, agents, or contractors.
