  • Credential Review Pathway Evidence Overview

  • This form highlights the evidence supporting your application for credential review. For the CRP application in CollegeNET, you will be asked to submit this form and additional information.

    For initial credential review, you will need to submit, at minimum, transcripts, documents showing teaching experience in the desired certification area, and certification showing your status as a current or previous educator. Upon completion of the credential review process, you will receive a Plan of Study identifying your actions needed to apply for full certification with RIDE.

  • 1. Requirements Screening

    Please confirm that you meet all 3 of these minimum requirements for the CRP pathway:
  • Please Note: If you cannot answer yes to the 3 minimum requirements, you are not eligible for CRP. A graduate program or certificate program may be a better fit as you pursue full certification. Please email the Credential Review Program at CRP@ric.edu for clarification or program options.

  • Extensive teaching experience is defined by achieving one of the following:

    • A full semester of supervised student teaching in the desired certification area
    • 270+ days of full-time teaching in the desired certification area. (Work experience as a teacher assistant does not count. You need to be fully in charge of the class.)
    • Expert Residency or Emergency Certification. This experience can be included as one of your action items on your CRP Plan of Study.

  • Please Note: If you have not completed these requirements at the time of your initial application, that is ok. You will need to submit official documentation of at least 270+ days of a full-time professional teaching position and corresponding evaluations in the desired area of certification.

  • 8. How to Submit This Form

    You need to attach a copy of this completed form to your application on our College Net system. To do this, you will need to generate a PDF, which you can do in two ways. You can click the "Save as PDF" button, which will bring up a print pop up box where you can select "Save as PDF" in place of a printer option. Another option is to click the Submit button, which will email you with your form responses and a link to download a PDF.
