SWCD Photo Contest Registration

Register to participate in the SWCD photo contest and submit your photo entries. Please review the contest rules before submitting your photos.
November 6th of 2026, marks the deadline for the third annual photo contest of Pope SWCD (Soil & Water Conservation District). Pope SWCD is committed to celebrating our county by featuring the landscapes and moments captured by our community members. Pope county is home to many picturesque views. From the lakes and wildlife to the farms and community life; the place we call home can't be captured in just one image. We ask for your help in providing images for a chance to be a finalist in our 2026 calendar and a chance to win a rain barrel (1st place) and a gift certificate to a local company (2nd and 3rd place). We ask that you fill out this form to the best of your ability, and we will contact all finalists following the November 6th deadline.

Rules and Considerations
- Photos must be taken in Pope County but contestants may be from out of
  Pope County
- Photoshop, filters and Artificial-Intelligence is not allowed
- Photos fit within one of the categories (Ag, Wildlife, Recreation, Conservation)
- Must be original work of the individual entering the image
- Photos taken from 2020 to the present are eligible. Previously submitted images are not reccomended.
- High Resolution requested (minimum of 300 dpi)
- Horizontal image preferred
- No trade marks on the image
- Entry implies consent for Pope SWCD to use in promotional material
- Each photo requires its own entry form
- Max of 2 images per individual will be accepted as a finalist
- If a recognizable individual is in the image a model release will be requested. In terms of a minor, the parent/guardian would need to sign for them.
- Art release will be requested when image is submitted
- Consider posting images from any of the 4 seasons

Art Release - I own the rights to the attached image. I give Pope SWCD permission to use my Work in their entry to Pope County SWCD’s 2nd Annual Photo Contest. I give Pope County SWCD (and those authorized by the Pope County SWCD) a royalty-free, world-wide, perpetual, nonexclusive license to publicly display, distribute, reproduce and create derivative works of that entry, including the depiction of my Work, in whole or in part, in any media now existing or later developed, for any purpose, including, but not limited to, advertising and promotion of the calendar and website, exhibition, and products, including but not limited to Pope County SWCD publications. I understand that I shall not receive any compensation for these uses and that the Pope County SWCD is under no obligation to use the entry in any way. I waive any claim or right of action arising out of the uses authorized in this release.
Recognizable Person/Model Release - If the image includes a recognizable person a model release form will be requested at the email you provided above. This form will need to be filled out by the individual and sent back.
