(hereinafter referred to as caretaker). A foster home is defined as temporary housing for any PCAC animal while it is being screened and approved for permanent adoption. All caretakers must be 18+ of age. Caretaker(s) represents that s/he has reasonable knowledge regarding the proper care and handling of animals. Caretaker understands and agrees to the following terms and conditions.
- To temporarily house and care for any dog belonging to PCAC. Caretaker understands that PCAC is the sole and rightful owner of this foster dog.
- All decisions regarding PCAC foster dog/cat shall be made by PCAC.
- Caretaker shall not give or otherwise transfer custody of foster dog to any other person, unless approved by PCAC in advance.
- PCAC is not responsible for any damage caused by said foster dog to caretakers' property or possessions.
- PCAC does not warrant the temperament or behavior of PCAC foster dog, and PCAC shall not be liable for any acts of said foster dog while in custody of caretaker
- All animals owned personally by caretaker must be provided with all necessary medical care including vaccinations. PCAC has the right to request proof of vaccination through Veterinarian records, and or verbal confirmation through Veterinarian staff.
- Caretaker must approve all vet care needed through PCAC in advance. For medical emergencies caretaker must contact PCAC non-emergency number to be connected to the animal control officer on-call.
- Caretaker understands they will be held financially responsible for all vet care not approved in advance by PCAC.
- Caretaker agrees and understands to have PCAC dog back to its facilities no later than 3:30pm the same day.
- Any items borrowed from PCAC such as crates, etc. must be returned to PCAC when caretaker ceases fostering for PCAC.
- Caretaker understands that if animal is not brought back by 3:30pm of the same day Animal Control will seize PCAC dog and caretaker will no longer be eligible for DDO (Dog Day Out) Program.
