Farmers Market Vendor Rules & Regulations
1. Vendor Eligibility
- Vendors must sell products that are locally grown, locally made, or locally crafted unless otherwise approved by market management.
- Produce Vendors may source produce from local farmers. Management reserves the right to contact the original producer.
- Resale of commercial or wholesale products is prohibited unless explicitly permitted.
- All vendors must submit a complete application and receive approval prior to participation.
2. Product Guidelines
- Only approved products listed on the vendor application may be sold.
- Products must comply with all local, state, and federal regulations.
- Prepared foods must be produced in approved facilities and meet health department requirements.
- Vendors must clearly label products as required by law (ingredients, allergens, weights, etc.).
3. Licenses, Permits & Registration
- Vendors are responsible for obtaining and maintaining all required permits, licenses, and certifications.
- Vendors must comply with health department, fire, and safety regulations at all times.
- All vendors are responsible for collecting their own Florida Sales Tax if required by state law.
4. Market Schedule & Attendance
- Vendor set up begins at 7:30 the morning of the event.
- Vendors must be set up and ready to sell when the market opens.
- Early breakdown or late arrival is not permitted.
- Vendors who cannot attend must notify market management in advance.
- No-shows, late arrivals, or early breakdown may result in loss of vending privileges.
5. Booth Setup & Display
- Booth sizes are 10x10.
- Tables and displays must be safe, clean, and professional in appearance.
- Signage must be accurate and clearly identify the vendor and products.
- Tents will not be permitted inside.
- Tables, chairs, power cables, etc. will not be provided and are the responsibility of the vendor.
6. Conduct & Market Etiquette
- Vendors must behave respectfully toward customers, staff, volunteers, and other vendors.
- Aggressive sales tactics, harassment, or disruptive behavior are prohibited.
- Music, amplified sound, or generators require prior approval.
- Vendors may not obstruct walkways or neighboring booths.
7. Pricing & Sales
- Vendors are encouraged to clearly display prices.
- Vendors are responsible for collecting and reporting applicable taxes.
8. Health, Safety & Cleanliness
- Vendors must keep their space clean, free of clutter, and manned at all times.
- No smoking or vaping is allowed within the market.
- No pets allowed except for trained service animals.
9. Payments & Fees
- Vendor fees must be paid according to the market’s payment schedule.
- Fees are non-refundable unless otherwise stated by market management.
10. Liability & Indemnification
- Vendors participate at their own risk and are responsible for their own property, products, and actions.
- Vendors agree to indemnify and hold harmless the farmers market, its staff, and property owners.
- Proof of liability insurance may be required and must list the market as additionally insured if requested.
11. Rule Changes
- Market management reserves the right to amend rules and regulations as needed with out without notice.
