  • Little Scholars Code of Conduct Agreement

  • Our Little Scholars Madrasah Program is designed to teach young children in a safe, loving, and tarbiya-centered environment. The expectations below are shared with families to support consistency between home and program, recognizing that children at this age are still learning and developing self-regulation.

    1. Respecting Islamic Values and the Masjid
Children are guided to respect the masjid through appropriate dress, gentle behavior, and care for the space. Kind words and actions are encouraged at all times when interacting with peers, Tarbiya Instructors, Tarbiya Coaches, and staff. Children are taught to avoid hurtful language or behavior and to practice patience, sharing, and respect.

    2. Learning, Effort, and Participation
Children are encouraged to participate in lessons, play-based activities, and group routines to the best of their ability. Learning is supported through honesty, effort, and curiosity, with guidance provided as children build early academic and social skills. Children are gently encouraged to ask for help, express needs, and try again when something feels challenging.

    3. Care for Belongings and Shared Spaces
Children are taught to care for program materials, books, learning tools, and shared spaces. Personal belongings are handled with care, and children are guided to respect the belongings of others. Children participate in age-appropriate clean-up routines to help maintain a welcoming environment.

    4. Kindness, Emotions, and Conflict Support
Children are supported in learning how to express emotions, solve problems, and navigate disagreements in calm and respectful ways. Restorative and faith-centered approaches are used to help children understand feelings, repair relationships, and learn from mistakes. Bullying, physical aggression, or repeated harmful behavior is not acceptable and will be addressed promptly through guidance and family collaboration.

    5. Safety and Adult Guidance
Children are expected to follow safety rules with the support and supervision of staff, including during outdoor play and special activities. Any unsafe behavior is addressed immediately to ensure the well-being of all children. Parents are encouraged to partner with staff in reinforcing safety, routines, and positive behavior.

    Parent/Guardian Acknowledgment
By signing below, I acknowledge that if my child is enrolled in the Little Scholars Madrasah Program, that these expectations are designed to support their growth, safety, and Islamic character development. I understand that ongoing concerns or repeated challenges may result in meetings with families to ensure the best interest of the child and the program community.
