We’re excited to OFFICIALLY introduce our Volunteer Coordinator, Melissa Cory! Melissa has been part of the Floyd Yoga Jam community for several years, beginning her journey as a volunteer. We’re thrilled to welcome her passion, experience, and new perspectives into this leadership role and are grateful to have her guiding our volunteer team.

A note from Melissa:
I am very excited for Floyd Yoga Jam 2026! This will be my second year on staff as Volunteer Coordinator and I look forward to greeting our returning volunteers and meeting all of our new to volunteers.  Last year was amazing! Our volunteer team quickly became an extended festival family.  The amount of love, dedication, fun, creativity and problem solving skills that I witnessed and experienced last year was unbelievable.

Welcome, Future Volunteer!

Thank you for your interest in becoming a volunteer for Floyd Yoga Jam 2026—a unique gathering of music, movement, art, and community nestled in the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains of Floyd, Virginia.

Volunteers are vital to the success of this festival. Every year, we work and play together to add that extra sparkle that makes Floyd Yoga Jam truly magical! We’re so excited that you’re interested in joining our amazing crew of staff and special volunteers.

As a volunteer, you’ll become part of a passionate, mindful community helping to co-create an unforgettable experience. In exchange for 16 total hours of volunteering, you'll receive a 4-day General Admission ticket, which includes Primitive Camping and parking in our Lotus Lot. If you’d like to upgrade your camping experience (RV, Car Camping, etc.), you can purchase those add-ons separately [HERE].

We’ll do our very best to match you with your preferred shifts and positions, but please note that we cannot guarantee specific placements. The earlier you apply, the better your chances of landing your top choices! 

A few important notes:

• Submitting an application does not guarantee acceptance. You will be notified of your application status no later than two weeks after submitting your application.
• If accepted, there is a $45 nonrefundable fee, which helps cover administrative costs and supports the volunteer program. Details on how to pay this fee will be included in your acceptance email.
• Volunteer work schedules will be sent out no later than two weeks prior to the festival opening.
• Volunteer positions will be filled on a first come, first serve basis.

Thank you for your interest in volunteering at Floyd Yoga Jam 2026! We’re excited that you want to be part of the magic. Before submitting your application, please read the following terms and conditions carefully:

Application & Eligibility
This application is valid for the 2026 Floyd Yoga Jam Festival only. Submission does not guarantee acceptance. All applications will be reviewed, and volunteer positions will be filled based on availability and event needs. Floyd Yoga Jam reserves the right to accept or decline any applicant at its sole discretion.

Agreement to Guidelines
If selected as a volunteer, you agree to read, understand, and abide by all rules, policies, and guidelines set forth by Floyd Yoga Jam before and during and after the event. These may include safety protocols, scheduling requirements, and conduct expectations, all designed to ensure a safe and joyful experience for everyone.

Communications
All official volunteer communications—including acceptances, schedules, updates, and important announcements—will be sent exclusively from an official @floydyogajam email address. Any messages received from other email addresses, social media accounts, or unofficial channels should be considered invalid and not representative of Floyd Yoga Jam. 

Assumption of Risk & Release of Liability
By submitting this application, you acknowledge that participating in Floyd Yoga Jam as a volunteer may involve inherent risks, including but not limited to, physical exertion, weather exposure, and interaction with large crowds.
You voluntarily assume full responsibility for any risks, injuries, or damages that may occur as a result of your participation.

You hereby release and hold harmless the property owners, SWVA Events, Karma Culture Inc., and all associated staff, contractors, volunteers, and affiliates from any and all liability, claims, demands, or causes of action arising out of or related to any loss, injury, theft, or damage that may occur during your involvement with the event.
