I am writing to express my support for the Merrill’s Pit – Mineral Extraction SUP.
Local gravel production reduces fuel consumption, emissions, and traffic impacts
associated with long-distance hauling. When materials are sourced closer to where
they are used, the overall environmental footprint of construction is significantly
reduced.
Granite Companies, LLC has proposed a responsible operation that balances resource development with environmental considerations. I respectfully request approval of this Special Use Permit.
