I am writing to formally express my support for the Merrills Pit – Mineral Extraction SUP application submitted by Granite Companies, LLC.
As a local business owner, I understand the importance of having reliable, nearby
sources of construction aggregate. Local gravel production supports area businesses, stabilizes construction costs, and significantly reduces long hauling distances that contribute to congestion, fuel consumption, and roadway deterioration.
Granite Companies, LLC has demonstrated a commitment to responsible operations,regulatory compliance, and community stewardship. Approving this application will strengthen the local economy while ensuring essential materials remain available for infrastructure and private development projects within Gem County.
I respectfully encourage the Gem County Board of Commissioners to approve the
Merrills Pit application.
