As a Gem County resident, I am writing to express my support for the Merrill’s Pit – Mineral Extraction SUP proposed by Granite Companies, LLC.
Our community depends on quality roads, schools, and public infrastructure, all of which require locally sourced materials to be built and maintained responsibly. Local gravel production reduces unnecessary trucking, lowers emissions, and helps control infrastructure costs for taxpayers.
I appreciate the responsible approach outlined in this application and encourage the
Board to approve the Merrill’s Pit Special Use Permit.
