Subject: Letter of Support for the proposed Granite SUP – 25-002
Dear County Commissioners,
I’m writing this letter in support of Granite SUP-25-002. I’m requesting that the County Commissioners approve this gravel extraction pit to keep jobs local. Granite Excavation provides jobs to over 250 employees, and an abundance of them live in and around Emmett, ID. Granite cares immensely about Idaho and operates their gravel pits responsibly.
The location of the proposed Merrills Pit is within Gem County’s Gravel Extraction Area per Gem County Ordinance No. 2013-01. Granite representatives have gone above and beyond the County Ordinances by adding conditions of approval to their own application, showing that they care about the community and the residents who live near the proposed operation.
Please approve this application.
