Tier 1 Assessment

INSTRUCTIONS

1) The CWA Tier 1 assessment requires basic information about your business as it relates to CWA 1000:2025 Pet Dog Training Business Standard. The assessment is not intended to be a detailed analysis of the business. Rather, most of the questions are “Yes” or “No,” with two documentation requirements.

2) Provide as much information as necessary to complete each section of the form. In particular, use the “Additional Information” section at the end when necessary to expound upon or clarify any of your answers.

3) CWA will provide the results of the assessment to you within a reasonable amount of time. We will not publish the results, in whole or in part, on our website or any other digital/physical location. The results are intended to help you improve your business operations to give consumers more confidence in your practices as they make the hiring decision.

NOTE: There is no letter grade, numerical score, or pass/fail.

4) Before and during this assessment, your status on the CWA website is “Tier 0 – Business Listed.” To move to “Tier 1 Assessment Complete,” the assessment must be satisfactorily completed and deficiencies addressed. Should you decide not to address any deficiencies, the status will remain, “Tier 0 – Business Listed.”

5) Once a new Tier Level is assigned, you must contact CWA for any changes to the original responses. The new Tier Level is valid for a period of two years from the date of the completed review. You may request a Tier 2 (full off-site assessment) or Tier 3 (full on-site assessment) at any time.
