  • CANIS Conference Call for Abstracts Terms and Conditions

    By submitting an abstract for the CANIS Scientific Poster Session, applicants agree to the following terms and conditions:

    Selection and Registration

    Abstracts will be reviewed by the CANIS Scientific Review Committee.
    Individuals selected to participate in the Scientific Poster Session will receive complimentary full conference registration to CANIS.
    Complimentary registration includes access to the main conference only and does not include workshops, working spots, or VIP sessions.
     
    Expenses

    Hotel accommodations, travel, airfare, ground transportation, meals, and any other expenses not explicitly covered by CANIS are the sole responsibility of the selected individuals.
     
    Attendance Requirement

    Poster session participants are required to be present and available at their poster during the scheduled sessions:

    Thursday, October 8, from 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM Central Time
    Friday, October 9, from 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM Central Time
     
    Poster Preparation and Presentation

    Accepted presenters are responsible for producing and transporting their own posters in accordance with CANIS poster guidelines, which will be provided upon acceptance.
    Posters must reflect the content of the accepted abstract and meet professional and ethical scientific standards.
     
    Originality and Ethics

    Submissions must represent original work or clearly disclose prior presentation or publication.
    All research involving animals or human participants must comply with applicable ethical standards and regulations.
    CANIS reserves the right to reject or remove posters that are found to violate ethical, scientific, or professional standards.
     
    Use of Materials

    CANIS reserves the right to photograph, video record, or otherwise document poster sessions for educational, promotional, or archival purposes, with appropriate attribution to presenters.
     
    Final Authority

    CANIS reserves the right to make final decisions regarding abstract acceptance, scheduling, and program changes.
    Submission of an abstract constitutes acceptance of these terms and conditions.
