2026 | 2027 Call for Board of Directors - Candidate Application

The Great Plains Chapter Nominating Committee will review all complete applications for the Chapter Board of Directors. Board of Director recommendations will be made at the discretion of the Nominating Committee with Chapter Board approval. Application forms must be received from candiates by 1:00pm CST, Friday, March 6, 2025. Please be aware that each position may have multiple applicants; and for that reason, the Nominating Committee reserves the right to consider each candidate for positions other than that for which they have expressly applied or been nominated for.

If you are interested in a more general volunteer opportunity, we are looking for committee members at the city center level in a variety of capacities to help plan and execute initiatives and events and to support advocacy efforts. The 2026 | 2027 Board commitment begins officially on July 1. Each year we have two strategic planning retreats - typically in July and October. These are very important for chapter success and are considered mandatory.

Position training will occur for VPs in the Spring where incoming board members (VPs) will listen in to the monthly board calls prior to 7/1 to get a better handle on current board topics and a feel for your upcoming role.

Position training for all other positions will occur late summer, either virtually or in-person depending on your position and proximity to the board members you will be working with most closely.
Please indicate below any dates you are unavailable in July and October and would not be able to make the Board Retreat commitments. We will follow up when dates are being finalized to confirm.
