TEAM ROOM SIGNUP closes at midnight on Wednesday, March 4th. After that point, any additional requests are on a Wait List.
Please complete this form and make your payment to request a room for the 2026 Virginia Scholastic & College Chess Championships.
Requests will be filled based on a combination of:
- The number of rooms provided to us by Thomas Jefferson HS (we expect at least 15-20 rooms);
- Tthe size of your team or combined teams; and,
- The date and time we receive your request and payment.
Teams that withdraw their team room request by Thursday, March 5th will receive a full refund, teams that withdraw their request after March 5th will not receive a refund.
The minimum number of players needed to make your request is 10. They do not need to all be from the same school--e.g., 2 or more schools may combine to get a room. We expect the Team Rooms will be available starting Friday night. We are not expecting teams to get Room Keys.
You will be required to pay a Team Room Deposit of $100 when you complete your Team Room Request. We will return $25 of your deposit a few days after the tournament, if your room is left in good condition. We will use the other $75 of your deposit to purchase a $75 Gift Card for educational supplies that we give to the teacher who owns your room ... as a "thank you" from your team or group.
