  • Welcome to the 2026 Scholarship Application

  • INTRODUCTION

    The Scholarship program of the Dallas/Fort Worth Alliance of Black Accountants (DFW-ABA) provides an excellent opportunity to obtain funding for college. Through generous contributions of individuals, groups, and organizations that share the DFW-ABA’s desire to break through the economic barrier minorities often experience. We are set to award over $10,000 in scholarship funds to deserving students.
     
    Applicant Eligibility:

    Basic Requirements:
    1. Be a member of DFW-ABA at the time of submission (Sign up here for a free student membership:https://dfwaba.org/join-us)
    2. Be currently enrolled at a United States College, University or Community College as a full-time undergraduate student (12 semester hours or equivalent) or be a full-time graduate student (9 semester hours or equivalent) and have earned at least 12 credit hours before the start of the Fall 2026 semester.
      1. Undergraduate students must major in Accounting, Finance or any other business related major.
      2. Graduate students must be enrolled into a Masters-level Accounting, Finance, Business or MBA program.
    3. Register and attend the entire DFW-ABA Scholarship Brunch on October 3rd 2026. (Link coming soon)
    4. Upload a professional picture of yourself.
    5. Scholarship will be applied to the Spring 2027 semester. Expected graduation should not be earlier than Spring 2027.
    6. Transcript submission should include the Spring 2026 semester grades.
     
    Due Date
     
    All scholarship contents must be submitted by Sunday, July 19, 2026. Plan carefully so that your application receives the consideration it deserves. Applications submitted after 11:59PM on Sunday, July 19, 2026, WILL NOT be considered. There will be NO EXCEPTIONS.
     
    Submission Payout
     
    Awards are made for the 2026-27 academic year. Applicants in 2026 should be pursuing scholarships for the upcoming 2026-2027 school year. The scholarship awards will be presented in October 2026 to be applied to the Spring 2027 semester.

    In submitting this application, I hereby certify that:
  • 1. I have met ALL requirements as outlined and acknowledge that misrepresentation of the information presented may be grounds to rescind the scholarship award. I also agree to inform the scholarship committee of any significant changes to that information.
     
    2. I will use the proceeds of any scholarship aid received for the payment of tuition, required fees, and/or required materials only.
     
    3. I agree to the release of official/unofficial transcripts of my grades to DFW-ABA Scholarship Review Committee.
     
    4. If I am awarded a scholarship, I will provide satisfactory evidence, as required by DFW-ABA, of my full-time enrollment during the period(s) for which the scholarship is awarded.
     
    5. I understand that submission of this application constitutes permission to use my name and/or photograph for promotional purposes in all DFW-ABA publications.
     
    6. I understand that my application for the scholarship may also be used for internship consideration with DFW-ABA sponsors.
     
    7. I understand that if I am awarded a scholarship, I am required to register and attend the entire DFW-ABA Scholarship Brunch to be held on October 3 2026. If I do not attend, my scholarship will be forfeited.
