  • Steinfeld Gallery is pleased to announce The Other Side of Ordinary: Where Imagination Slips the Frame, an exhibition that embraces the extraordinary and pushes beyond reality. This exhibition will be on view from April 4 through May 16, 2026. The artwork will be juried by Sloane Bouchever, Director of the Artemizia Foundation. Showcasing artwork that explores abstraction through a limitless scope, The Other Side of Ordinary: Where Imagination Slips the Frame is open to all artists age 18 and older, working in any medium with the exception of video and installation art. Each artist may submit up to three works for consideration. We invite artists whose work communicates extraordinary perspectives. For example, art with a focus on surreal, dreamlike, or metaphysical concepts. Your work may even stretch beyond our imagination! 

    Submission deadline: March 15th (midnight)

    All artists must complete their submission through Jotform to be considered for inclusion in the exhibition.
    Up to 3 completed works, and in any 2 or 3-dimensional media may be submitted. 

    If accepted, all work must be ready to display and/or framed for hanging - no sawtooth hangers please. Any accepted work that is not in keeping with the original submission and/or is not properly prepared for exhibition will be rejected.

    Artists may submit images in JPEG, jpg (minimum 72DPI, no more than 1200 pixels in any direction). Each image file should be labeled with the artist’s last name, first name, and image title.

    KEY DATES

    Deadline for Submissions:  

    Sunday, March 15 (midnight). You may submit up to 3 images. ($30 submission fee).

     
    Notification of Acceptance: 

    Artists whose work is chosen for inclusion in the exhibition will be notified by March 23 (midnight) via email. We will also post a list of acceptances on our website: www.SteinfeldWarehouse.org

     
    Art Drop-Off: 

    SUNDAY, March 29 drop off artwork between 4:00-6:00 PM or

    MONDAY, March 30 drop off artwork between 4:00-6:00 PM, or by arrangement.

     
    Exhibition Timeline: 

    Saturday, April 4 / 4:00-8:00 PM Steinfeld Gallery


    Exhibit will remain up UNTIL SATURDAY, May 16.

     
    Unsold Art Pick-Up: 

    SATURDAY, May 16 / 4:00-6:00 PM, SUNDAY, May 17 / 12:00-2:00 PM or by arrangement with us. If your art isn't picked up by May 31, 2026, then we will donate it to a charity such as Good Will. We simply do not have the space to house the art.

     
    Sales & Commissions: 

    Artwork is for sale. A 30% COMMISSION TO WAMO, FRIEND OF STEINFELD will be retained by WAMO, for donation to the STEINFELD GALLERY. The 70% Artists price will be sent out to Artists, via Money Order or Check, Money Orders and Checks within 30 days of sales (after completion of a W9 is submitted).
