When: Sat April 18th, 10:30am-12:30pm
Where: ArtQuest at GreenHill
What: "This Cyanotype Workshop grows directly out of my own art practice, where I use cyanotype as an experimental way of working with photography, personal imagery, open-source photographic materials, and mixed media.
My work often combines made custom photo negatives, found objects, textures, and unexpected elements, allowing light, chemistry, and chance to shape each image. I’m interested in cyanotype as a flexible, accessible process one that invites play, reuse, and reinterpretation rather than fixed outcomes.
In this workshop, I invite people to approach cyanotype in the same spirit. We’ll work with photographs, newly captured images, maybe even open-source visuals if time allows, and physical objects to create layered blue prints that feel personal and exploratory. The emphasis is on trying things out, combining materials in new ways, and seeing what happens when light hits the surface. The goal is to create a relaxed, creative space where people can experiment, get a little messy, and leave with unique prints that reflect their own way of seeing."- Nya Kost
