Animal Mixed Media Collage with Joanne Rich
Monday, April 20th from 1:00-4:00pm

This class focuses on creating expressive pet or animal collages using hand-painted papers and mixed media techniques.

Students will begin by painting their own papers and creating textured surfaces to use as collage materials.

We’ll explore composition, layering, and storytelling while building animal or pet imagery through collage.

Additional mixed media elements such as drawing, stamping, and mark-making will be incorporated to enhance detail and personality.

By the end of the session, students will have a finished 2-D mixed media animal collage that reflects both creativity and personal connection.

Fee: $45.00 and includes all supplies

Nature in Collage:
Creating an artistic collage notebook inspired by nature.

Mondays May 4th, 11th, & 18th from 1:00-3:00pm

This 3-week collage workshop you will create a collage notebook based on nature and beautiful scenery by building up skill learned weekly through exploration of a variety of collage styles and techniques, such as painting paper, layering, using stencils, magazines and photos. 

You will also become familiar with some well-known collage artists, who depict scenes from nature, by seeing some of them on video demonstrating their own mixed media methods and discussing them in class.

This series is ideal for beginners and experienced artists alike who are interested in developing a personal collage style, and exploring creative expression in a supportive, process-focused environment. All you need is a willingness to experiment. 

Fee: $99.00 includes all 3 classes and supplies needed.

Creating Mixed-Media Collages
Mondays, June 8th, 15th & 22th from 1:00-3:00pm

This 3-week collage workshop is designed to build skills and confidence through weekly exploration of a variety of collage styles and techniques to create landscapes, cityscapes and abstract collages. 

Participants will learn and layer new methods while creating 2-D mixed media collages by using a wide range of materials such as magazines, painted papers, photographs, found papers, and mixed media elements like painting their own paper, drawing and texturing techniques. 

They will also become familiar with some well-known collage artists who create different styles of mixed-media collage. They will also see a few of them on video demonstrating their own mixed media methods, which we will discuss in the class.  

This workshop is ideal for beginners and experienced artists alike who are interested in experimenting, developing a personal collage style, and exploring creative expression in a supportive, process-focused environment. 

Fee: $99.00 includes all 3 classes and supplies needed.

Submission of this registration form reserves your spot in class.

If the class becomes more than half full, prepayment will be required to hold your space. Payment may be made in person or online through an invoice and must be completed at least 48 hours prior to the start of class.

If you need to cancel, you must provide at least 7 days’ notice, regardless of whether you have prepaid or plan to pay in person. This policy allows the instructor to prepare supplies appropriately and ensures that spaces are available for others.

Cancellations made with less than 7 days’ notice or failure to attend will result in full payment being due, and an invoice will be issued.
