  • Marketing & Communications Internship

    The Tampa Sports Authority (TSA) operates and manages Raymond James Stadium, three City of Tampa golf courses and the Hillsborough County Tournament Sportsplex. The marketing & communications department is seeking two candidates to fill an annual internship position.

    The marketing & communications internship is a 12-month program for college students who have experience in the public relations, web maintenance, marketing, media, and social media. Interns will gain hands-on experience during the Tampa Sports Authority’s day-to-day operations in preparing for events, administrative tasks, stadium tours, in addition to networking opportunities.

    Position will start in May 2026 through May 2027.

    *Candidates will not be considered if graduation date is before May 2027*

     

    About Tampa Sports Authority

    The Tampa Sports Authority manages Raymond James Stadium, three city of Tampa Golf Courses: Babe Zaharias, Rocky Point, Rogers Park, and the Hillsborough County Tournament Sportsplex of Tampa. Raymond James Stadium is home to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, USF Football, ReliaQuest Bowl, Monster Jam, Gasparilla Bowl, Super Bowl LV, WrestleMania 37, 2017 & 2029 College Football Playoff National Championship, 2026 Navy Federal NHL Stadium Series, Concerts, and more!

     

    Below is a brief description of the job duties:

    • Conduct public tours of the stadium

    • Administrative duties such as coverage of front desk phones, mail sorting, online help window

    • Gather newsworthy information for social media and advertisement of events.

    • Assisting with the content of the Tampa Sports Authority’s websites – Tampa Sports Authority, Raymond James Stadium, Babe Zaharias Golf Course, Rocky Point Golf Course, Rogers Park Golf Course, and Sportsplex

    • Assisting with Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and the stadium app

    • Help create marketing and plans for events at Raymond James Stadium and three golf courses

    • Assist with game day operations

     

    Qualifications:

    The candidate should be underclassman level student with a minimum 3.0 GPA in visual communications, graphic design, marketing, or journalism. In addition to strong organizational skills for managing multiple tasks, the candidate must have a working knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite (especially Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop), Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Basic knowledge of HTML code and Flash is preferred. The intern must be willing to relocate to Tampa if they are not currently residing in the area.

     

    *Candidates must have flexible availability including nights and weekends.

    *Internship does not guarantee placement of a permanent position.

    *Internship requires a full year commitment
