We, the families and community members of the Luminary Learning Network, are writing in strong support of Cole Arts and Science Academy and its continued membership in the LLN.
Cole is a founding school of the Luminary Learning Network and an essential part of who we are. The school serves a vibrant community of students and families, many of whom are multilingual, from historically underserved backgrounds, and deserving of schools designed around their strengths, cultures, and needs.
Cole educators have worked collaboratively and transparently to develop their Innovation Plan. This plan reflects months of engagement, a deep knowledge of their students and community, and a thorough District approval process, including a recommendation for approval by the Superintendent. It was created to strengthen learning, support staff, and ensure that students continue to grow academically and socially.
Cole educators have expressed strong support for being part of the LLN, and the LLN stands fully with Cole. The school’s progress in early literacy and English language development shows that this work is making a real difference.
We respectfully ask the Denver Board of Education to vote “YES” to approve the Cole Arts and Science Academy Innovation Plan and affirm Cole’s continued place in the Luminary Learning Network.
Supporting Cole means supporting students, families, and educators who believe in this work and in one another.
