The Award:
The “Sister Friends United Faith” Non-Traditional Scholarship is for minority female residents of Pulaski, Jefferson or Saline County who plans to attend an accredited program or university in Arkansas. The scholarship award is a total of $500, distributed in one installment for the 2026 academic year.
Eligibility:
The applicant must meet the following criteria:
- Legal resident of Pulaski, Jefferson or Saline County in Arkansas
- Minority female at least 30 years or older
- Have dependents other than a spouse (children, caregivers of sick or elderly family members)
Application Process:
Eligible applicants must complete all sections of the scholarship application. Other than requested documents, no attachments of any kind should be submitted. All sections must be completed. Incomplete applications will not be considered. Please obtain the following items and upload to the application:
- Unofficial transcript from the accredited institution or program currently attending (if applicable)
- Acceptance letter of program or college you plan to attend in Arkansas
Interview and Acceptance Process: (if selected by the scholarship interview committee)
1. The committee will email interview availability slots to the applicants’ email address provided
2. Applicant(s) will select an interview time.
3. Applicant must be on time, dress professionally and have camera on during interview.
4. An award letter will be sent to the scholarship winner and the scholarship contract must be signed, dated, and sent back to the committee before the contract due date.
5. The scholarship winner is required to attend the Annual Hat Luncheon, April 25th (tentative date) and to email a 2-minute video sharing, “What the Faith scholarship means to you?”.
6. Failure to comply with the acceptance process will VOID receipt of the scholarship award.
