ICLC is hosting a virtual training designed specifically for attorneys interested in pro bono advocacy. This session will introduce key concepts and practical tools for working effectively and respectfully with clients experiencing poverty, trauma, and housing instability.
This training will cover:
- How to approach client interactions with cultural humility and an awareness of identity
- Techniques for conducting clear, empathetic, and trauma-informed intake interviews
- Common barriers faced by low-income clients and how bias can shape the attorney-client relationship
This is a great opportunity for new and seasoned attorneys to build a strong foundation for pro bono work.
