    • ABOUT TRACEY ...
    • ABOUT TRACEY

Tracey Mallinson is an experienced dog agility handler, coach, and judge with decades of involvement in the sport. She has competed and trained dogs across the full range of jump heights—from 4" through 20"—giving her a broad and practical understanding of handling strategies for dogs of all sizes, speeds, and structural types.

Tracey has been coaching agility handlers for over 10 years and currently judges for three agility organizations. Her dual perspective as both an instructor and an official allows her to effectively bridge the gap between course design and real-world handling solutions.

Her teaching philosophy is grounded in adult learning (andragogy). Workshops are designed to make content immediately applicable, leverage participants' existing knowledge, and emphasize hands-on learning. Tracey encourages active problem-solving, offers choice in learning approaches, and fosters a supportive, engaging environment where handlers can experiment, ask questions, and refine their skills with confidence.

In addition to her agility background, Tracey has decades of experience as a dance instructor. This has strongly influenced her handling instruction, particularly in the areas of precise movement, timing, footwork, mobility, and range of motion. She brings a strong emphasis on body awareness and efficient motion, helping handlers move with clarity and intention on course.

Tracey's workshops are well-suited for handlers seeking to improve connection, timing, and strategic decision-making, while developing handling skills that are both technically sound and adaptable under pressure.

    • ABOUT JENN ...
    • ABOUT JENN

Jenn Coltman is an experienced international competitor, local handler, trainer, and judge in the sport of dog agility. She has competed extensively with Labrador Retrievers, proudly representing the breed on the world stage alongside her standout partner, Nyxie, on multiple occasions. Most recently, Jenn competed in Portugal as a member of Team Canada at the European Open, advancing all the way to the finals against top Border Collie teams from around the world.

Throughout her career, Jenn has competed at numerous major events, earning finalist placements at international UKI competitions and achieving exceptional results at regional and national championships over many years.

Jenn's success in the ring is grounded in a strong mental game and a deep respect for the individuality of each dog. She is known for running powerful, expressive Labradors with distinct personalities—each requiring their own customized approach. Her training philosophy centers on developing personalized routines for each handler–dog team, helping them manage ring stress, set realistic expectations, and perform with confidence in a positive, supportive environment.

Jenn's guiding belief and words of inspiration reflect her commitment to the sport: "Passion comes down to that one moment you have dreamt of, worked so hard for, bruised, bled, and cried because of. Agility is my passion. Putting it all on the line is my moment. What is your passion and that one moment? Now go for it—and don't give up."

Jenn's Ring Ready workshop is ideal for handlers looking to build confidence, consistency, and clarity in the ring, while developing a reliable pre-run routine tailored to both the handler and their four-legged teammate.
