  • Named for the great pioneer and leader in American Catholic education, St. Elizabeth Ann Seton, this award recognizes a non-teaching staff member (school leader, Director, Pastor or Chaplain, Assistant Director, etc.) that shares in the same pioneering spirit. The recipient of this award will be an exemplary model of leadership through vision, action, or both. The recipient of this award is well-respected by his or her peers and demonstrates the virtues necessary for outstanding leadership, forging connections within and beyond the school community, galvanizing support, and making a lasting impact on the community they serve. The recipient leads with the head and the heart, with joy, vision, and an entrepreneurial spirit.

    The recipient of the Spirit of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Award is selected among a pool of candidates nominated by students, parents, teachers, colleagues, and community members.

  • Criteria for Nominees

    • Has at least 1 full year working in a NH Catholic school
    • Employee can be part time or full time
    • Must not have won the same award within the last three years

    Criteria for Nominator

    • No family relation to nominee
    • Must be part of the current school community/active participant of the school community
    • Tell nominator that upon notification, the nominee can decline further consideration
    • No anonymous nominations
    • Cannot nominate yourself

  • Timeline for Nomination and Selection Process

    Week of January 26, 2026: Nominating materials distributed to school Principals and posted on CSO Website.

    Friday, March 13, 2026: Deadline for the 2026 nominations.

    Monday, April 20, 2026: Award winners are announced and finalists for Teacher of the Year announced.

    Friday, June 19, 2026: All award recipients and finalists are honored at the Recognizing Excellence Awards Gala where the Teacher of the Year is announced.
