Spring 2026 Student Support Fund

Assistance through the Student Support Fund is available to students who experience an unexpected or unforeseen circumstance that may prevent them from achieving their immediate educational and career goals at Brazosport College. Students may be awarded up to $500.00 during their time at Brazosport College. Eligible students can receive up to $250.00 each academic year, until they reach their lifetime cap.

Eligibility Requirements

· Students who are currently enrolled in credit or non-credit courses at Brazosport College.

.Students that have not applied to student support fund before or have not reached their lifetime allotment of $500.00 in assistance.

· Credit students who have a 2.0 cumulative GPA (students may be evaluated on an individual basis and special consideration may be given if funds are available).

· Non-Credit students in Allied Health and Adult Education and Literacy Programs who maintain an attendance rate of 90%.

· Exclusions: Dual-Credit students and CBIT students are not eligible for student support funding. Exceptions for dual-credit students may be made on a case by case basis by the Coordinator of Student Wellness and Basic Needs or Director of Student Life.

Funding Procedures

Student Support funding is available for each studentwith a cap of $500.00, during their time at Brazosport College. Eligible students can receive up to $250.00 each academic year. The assistance is provided only for unexpected or unforeseen circumstances that may prevent a student from achieving their educational and career goals. Students must submit an application, provide details of the unexpected circumstance, provide receipts or documentation-from the current month- to support expenses, and meet with a designated BC Student Services employee in order to access the student support funding.

Students can receive up to $500.00 during their time as a student, at Brazosport College.

Supporting documents of the financial need (bills, eviction notices, daycare tuition statements, etc.) must accompany the application to be considered. The name of the account holder needs to be visible on the documents uploaded.*
