  • 🌟 Summer Co-Op: A Day of Music, Stories, Art & Friendship
    Join us for a full day of engaging, creative, and social learning! Students can participate in one or all classes as we explore music, literature, art, and connection in a fun, supportive environment.

    Class Highlights:


    🎶 Band – TV Through the Generations
    Play and perform iconic TV theme songs from across the decades! Music will be selected based on the group and tailored to student ability.

     

    📚🎨 Book Club & Art Studio — Adventures Across Worlds
    Step into stories of adventure, friendship, and discovery, then bring those worlds to life through drawing, painting, and mixed-media art projects inspired by each book.

    Featured Summer Reads:
    ➡️ May: The Remarkable Rescue at Milkweed Meadow — Elaine Dimopoulos
    ➡️ June: Brightstorm — Vashti Hardy
    ➡️ July: Warriors: Into the Wild — Erin Hunter

    Students will enjoy literature discussion alongside creative, skill-building art experiences connected to the themes, characters, and settings of each novel.

    📚 Families provide their own copies (print, audio, or digital formats welcome—library copies work great!)

     

    🌍 Earth & Sky Lab — Adventures Beneath Our Feet and Beyond
    Explore the dynamic systems of our planet through experiments, field-style investigations, and science notebooking, with studies ranging from rocks and weather to oceans and ecosystems.

    🎉 On July 24, the 3:00–4:00 Social Hour will become our Showcase Hour for families.Students will participate in classes as usual earlier in the day.

    Whether your child is just beginning or ready to take their skills to the next level, private lessons provide one-on-one instruction tailored to their individual goals. Lessons are available for a variety of instruments and are designed to build solid technique, confidence, and musical expression in a supportive, encouraging environment.

    🎼 Schedule: Once per week
    ⏱️ Lesson Length: 30 minutes in Fern Park
    💵 Tuition: $30 per lesson
    📝 Registration Fee: $30 per student (per semester)
    📄 Printing/Materials Fee: $5 flat fee (covers sheet music & custom resources)

  • 🗣️ Spanish I — Language in Motion


    Build confidence in beginning Spanish through engaging, twice-weekly live Zoom lessons focused on conversation, vocabulary, grammar, and cultural connections. This interactive class is designed to help students develop practical language skills in a supportive, encouraging environment, with Google Classroom resources available for review and enrichment between sessions.

    🌎 Schedule: Twice per week via Zoom
    ⏱️ Class Length: 30 minutes each session (60 minutes weekly)

    💻 Google Classroom – Each student receives access to a class-specific Google Classroom with printable music, practice tracks, and optional at-home enrichment activities.

    Regular attendance helps students feel confident, prepared, and connected to the group. We encourage families to attend as consistently as possible.

    We understand that life happens! If you have a planned trip or known conflict, your child is still welcome to participate—just let us know in advance so we can plan accordingly.

    🎉 End-of-Session Note

     The final two weeks include important rehearsals and wrap-up activities. We strongly encourage students to attend so they can fully participate in the showcase experience.

    Fees cover instructional time and materials only.

    Families understand this is a cooperative-style learning environment and agree to support program expectations, safety procedures, and respectful community conduct.

    By enrolling in Band & Beyond, I understand and agree to the following:

    📄 Liability Waiver: Band & Beyond and its instructors are not responsible for personal injury or for the loss or damage of personal belongings during classes, rehearsals, performances, or events.

    📄 Health & Participation: I will inform the instructor(s) of any health conditions, injuries, or limitations (such as hand or arm injuries) that may affect my child’s participation.

    📄 Emergency Medical Authorization: In the event of an emergency and I cannot be reached, I give permission for Terra Hunsicker / Band & Beyond to seek appropriate medical care for my child.

    📄 Media Release: Photos and videos may be taken during classes, rehearsals, and events. These may be used for promotional materials, social media, and shared within our private Band & Beyond community spaces.

     

    ✨ We aim to keep all media respectful and focused on celebrating student growth and experiences.
